Instead of doing X Stretch on Sunday, as originally scheduled, I took a rest day on Friday. The company I work for had a party for employees on Friday night. I ended up blowing off some steam with co-workers and my husband. We even went dancing – so I managed to get some cardio in after all!
I was very good about food. I had a handful of chips and salsa with guacamole at the party, and one cocktail – a margarita (rocks, salt). I avoided the beer drinking contest, shots, the wing eating contest and the nachos. I even managed to drink some water. I had a great time, despite avoiding all the typical party food. Dancing was an unexpected bonus.
I’m very glad I went, but I’m definitely looking forward to my normal routine next week!
