I’ve been sick for a couple of days, so I’ve had to double up my workouts to catch up. What a butt kicker! As a result, I’m a bit behind in posting, but I promise everything will be caught up and posted by the end of the weekend. It will take another two days for me to get all my workouts caught up.
So, this is the Training Block 2 doldrums. I’m a bit bummed that both my weight and (for the first time) the body fat percentage ticked up a little bit. The good news is that I’ve lost over an inch. Where did it go, I wonder if I’m slightly heavier and fatter? I have no idea…
I’ve also noticed that I can crank out a lot more pushups than before. I attribute it to my increased core strength. I’ve been doing Hip Hop Abs concurrently to give my core workouts a bit of extra oomph. It’s amazing how much easier it is to do push ups when your lower back and abs aren’t screaming in pain.
Food has been very good recently. My attempts to eat more vegetarian meals has been successful. I’ve had delicious vegan bean (a mix of both black and pinto) burritos with guacamole, hot sauce, salsa, cilantro, onions and whole grain tortillas. No cheese, sour cream or other dairy products. I attribute my quick recovery from a summer cold to keeping up my daily Shakeology smoothie and the massive amounts of hot sauce I ate.
